Cookie Policy
Short version: solarentreprenad.com sets no cookies. It stores one small technical setting on your device, only on phones and only after you use the footer menu. That is why you do not see a cookie banner.
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to save. They are sent back to the website with later requests and are often used to keep you signed in, remember preferences or, in many cases, follow your activity for analytics and advertising.
Local storage is a related browser feature. It lets a page save small pieces of information on your device, but unlike cookies the information is not sent to the server with each request. It stays in your browser until the website or you remove it.
The rules on cookies apply to both, because both store information on your device. In Norway these rules are set out in the Electronic Communications Act (ekomloven), and across the EEA in the ePrivacy Directive.
2. Categories
Stored information is usually grouped into four categories:
- Strictly necessary: needed for a feature you have asked for, such as keeping a menu open or items in a basket. These do not require consent.
- Preferences: remember choices such as language or region.
- Analytics: measure how visitors use a site.
- Marketing: track visitors across sites to show advertising.
This website uses only the first category, and only one item in it. It uses no preference, analytics or marketing storage of any kind.

The value contains nothing but the names of the footer sections and whether each one is open, for example {"footer-legal":true}. It does not identify you, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is not shared across websites.
Some features may look as if they need storage but do not use any. The "Daylight today" widget is calculated fresh on every visit from today's date. The interest list form keeps nothing after you leave the page. We do not load fonts, maps or videos from other companies, so no third party can set cookies through our pages either.
5. How to view and delete stored data
Local storage is cleared together with cookies and other site data. The exact steps depend on your browser and may change with updates:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies (or Cookies and other site data) → See all site data and permissions, then search for solarentreprenad.com and delete it.
- Safari (Mac): Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data, select solarentreprenad.com and choose Remove. On iPhone and iPad: Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data, select solarentreprenad.com and remove it.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data → See all cookies and site data, then search for solarentreprenad.com.
You can also block websites from storing data at all. The website will still work: the footer sections on phones simply start closed on every page.
6. If this changes
If we ever add analytics or any other storage that is not strictly necessary, we will first update this policy and add a consent banner, so that nothing optional is stored unless you agree. The effective date at the top of this page shows the current version.
